The County of Moray or Elgin, is a shire of the Highlands, on the south coast of the Moray Firth, bordering Nairnshire to the west and Banffshire to the east. To the south in the mountains lies Inverness-shire, a part of which also separates the main body of Morayshire from its main detached part to the south. The county town is Elgin and the shire is also known as Elginshire.
Geography
There are a number of mountainous features within Moray, including Bin Hill near Cullen. Bin Hill is visible from a number of distant points including Longman Hill, situated to the east.[1]
