Blackborne Hundred

Blackborne Hundred, shown within the Lathe of Scray and Kent

Blackborne is a hundred of Kent that forms part of the Lathe of Scray. It is bounded by Barkley to the north-west; by Chart and Longbridge to the north; by Ham in the Lathe of Shepway to the east; by Wye to the east; by Aloesbridge in the Lathe of Shepway to the south-east; by Oxney to the south-west; and by Tenterden to the west.

It comprises the ancient parishes of:

• High Halden (part)^‡
• Kenardington (part)^§
• Orlestone (part)^‖
• Shadoxhurst (part)^¶
• Smarden (part)^**
• Warehorne (part)^††
• Woodchurch

^*: Extends into Aloesbridge, Newchurch and At Martin's Longport (all Lathe of Shepway).
