Maidstone Hundred
Maidstone is a hundred of Kent that forms part of the Lathe of Aylesford. It is bounded by Larkfield and Aylesford to the north-west; by Chatham and Gillingham to the north; by Milton in the Lathe of Scray to the north-east; by Eyhorne to the east; by Marden in the Lathe of Scray to the south; and by Twyford to the south-west. It had a population of 97,256 in 2011.
It comprises the ancient parishes of:
- Barming
- Boxley
- Delting
- East Farleigh
- Linton
- Loose
- Maidstone
- Marden (part)*
- Staplehurst (part)†
- West Barming
*: Mostly in Marden hundred, by also extends into Twyford.
†: Part of Staplehurst around Duckhurst farm forms a detached part of Maidstone hundred.
