Hallikeld is a wapentake in the North Riding of Yorkshire, adjacent to the West Riding. It forms the south-easternmost part of Richmondshire and had a population of 9,871 in 2011. It is bounded by Birdforth to the east; by Bulmer to the south-east; by Claro in the West Riding to the south; by Hang East to the north-east; and by East Gilling to the north. It contains detached parts of Allertonshire, as well as detached parts of Claro (W. R.).
It comprises the ancient parishes of:
