Middle Island is a small island lying in the entrance of Destruction Bay, midway along the east coast of King George Island in the South Shetland Islands, within the British Antarctic Territory.
The island was charted by Discovery Investigations in 1937 and named descriptively 'Middle Islet'. The island was photographed from the air by Falkland islands Surve Aerial Survey Expedition in 1956. Later is was charted as 'Middle Island'.
