Highest point: Momchil Peak, 2,050 feet

Greenwich Island is an island of the South Shetland Islands , within the British Antarctic Territory. It is 15 miles long and from half a mile to 6 miles wide, lying between Robert Island and Livingston Island. Its surface area is 55 square miles.[1]

The name 'Greenwich Island' dates back to at least 1821 and is now established in international usage.

The Chilean base Arturo Prat and the Ecuadorian base Pedro Vicente Maldonado stand on the northeast and north coasts of the island respectively.
