Moreton Hundred

Moreton Hundred is one of the hundreds of Berkshire. It is situated in the centre of the county, bounded to the north by Ock Hundred; and to the south-west by Compton Hundred. The southernmost part is bounded additionally by Theale Hundred to the south; and Faircross Hundred to the south-west. All the remaining boundaries are with Reading Hundred.
The hundred comprises the ancient parishes of:
- Ashampstead
- Aston Tirrold
- Basildon
- Blewbury (Aston Upthorpe and Upton tythings)*
- Brightwell
- Didcot
- Hagbourne
- Harwell
- Moulsford
- North Moreton
- Sotwell
- South Moreton
- Streatley
- Wallingford All Hallows, St Mary More, St Leonard, and St Peter
- Wallingford Castle Precincts (ex. par.)
*: Remainder in Reading Hundred.
The hundred had a population of 43,007 in 2011.
