North Moreton is a village in Berkshire about 2 miles east of Didcot.
The parish church of All Saints was built in the 13th century.
In the 14 century an intricate chantry chapel was built within the church for the Stapleton family. Although chantries were abolished as superstitious institutions at the Reformation, the structure remains, serving the wider purposes of the church. It is a fine example of mediaeval craftsmanship, with geometrical tracery, spirited carving outside, and an east window filled with 14th century glass showing the Passion of Christ and incidents in the lives of Mary, St Peter, St Paul and St Nicholas.[1]
