Framland is one of the hundreds of Leicestershire, located in the north of the county, adjacent to the borders with Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Rutland. It is bounded to the north-west by Nottinghamshire; to the north-east by Lincolnshire; to the south-east by Rutland; and to the south-west by East Goscote Hundred and detached parts of Gartree Hundred. It had a population of 42,382 in 2011.
