Gartree Hundred
Gartree is one of the hundreds of Leicestershire, located in the south-east of the county, adjacent to the borders with Northamptonshire and Rutland. It is bounded to the west by Guthlaxton; to the north by East Goscote Hundred; to the east by Rutland, and to the south by Northamptonshire. There is also a short border with Sparkenhoe in the very east. The hundred has three detached parts, the northernmost two of which also border Framland. Including much of eastern Leicester, it had a population of 138,440 in 2011.
