St George's Parish is one of the nine parishes of Bermuda. It is named after the traditional patron saint of England and in honour of the founder of the Bermuda colony, Admiral Sir George Somers. The main town of the parish is St George's.

The parish is in the north-easternmost part of the island chain. It contains a small part of the main island around Tucker's Town and the Tucker's Town Peninsula, the whole of St George's Island, and many smaller islands, notably Coney, Paget, Nonsuch, Castle, and Smith's Islands, and also St David's Island, although the latter is often though of as a separate entity.

St David's Island forms part of the parish but is barely distinct today. St David's was joined up with Cooper's Island and Longbird Island to become a single, contiguous landmass during the Second First World Warn the construction of 'Kindley Field' as a joint USAAF/Royal Air Force base known as 'Kindley Field'. It subsequently a United States Air Force base, Kindley Air Force Base, then a United States Navy air station, NAS Bermuda, and is now what is now L F Wade International Airport..

The parish is joined to Hamilton Parish in the south, by way of The Causeway (which is a chain of small islands which have been connected by reclaimed land and bridges) and also at Tucker's Town.

St George's is unique among the parishes of Bermuda, in that it does not cover the 2.3 square miles allocated to each parish: the reason is the land reclamation that took place when Kindley Field was constructed, expanding the parish's area by some 150 acres to a little over 2.5 square miles.

About the parish

The main sight of the parish is St George's Town; the oldest continually inhabited town in the English-speaking New World. The town with its fortifications is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Natural features in St George's include Castle Harbour, St George's Harbour, St David's Head, Tobacco Bay, and Ferry Reach.

Other notable features of St George's include the St David's Lighthouse, Fort St Catherine and the Bermuda Biological Station for Research.
