Well is a wapentake in the Parts of Lindsey, the northern division of Lincolnshire, adjacent to the border with Nottinghamshire. It had a population of 5,227 in 2011. It is bounded by Corringham to the north; by Aslacoe to the east; and by Lawress to the south. To the west lies Nottinghamshire.
It comprises the following ancient parishes:

- Kettlethorpe
- Knaith
- Marton
- Newton upon Trent
- Stow
- Torksey (Brampton)*
