Scouthead is a hamlet within Saddleworth in the West Riding of Yorkshire, standing on a hillside amongst the Pennines. The A62 road rushes through it between Oldham and Huddersfield, which was once the old Wool Road between Lancashire and Yorkshire which brought wealth to the hamlet. Scouthead contains several hostelries which were once important staging posts along the road.
