Houndslow is a hamlet in Berwickshire, in the lands south of Lammermuir but not yet in the river-fed Merse.
Houndslow is to be found about five miles west of Greenlaw on the A697 road between Greenlaw and Lauderdale. It is also a mile and a half south of Westruther and three miles north-east of Gordon.
Immediately to the south is the site of the lost village of Bassendean, where the 17th-century Bassendean House stands.
