High Peak Hundred

High Peak Hundred in Derbyshire

High Peak Hundred is one of the hundreds of Derbyshire, named after the northern part of the Peak district, as distinct from Low or Lower Peak, corresponding to Wirksworth Hundred. It is situated in the very north-west of the county, bounded to the north-west by Cheshire; to the north-east by Yorkshire; to the south-east by Scarsdale Hundred; and to the south-west by Wirksworth Hundred. It had a population of 110,413 in 2011.

It comprises the ancient parishes of:

*: Wensley and Snitterton township in Wirksworth Hundred.
: Remainder in Wirksworth Hundred.
: Elton, Middleton and Smerill townships in Wirksworth Hundred.
