Forge Island is one of the smaller, tussac isles of the Lively Island Group amongst the Falkland Islands. It lies a few yards off the north coast of Phillimore Island, halfway along the coastline.
This island was named in memory of Major Michael Lancaster Forge of the 5th Infantry Brigade (Headquarters and Signals Squadron, of the Royal Signals), who fell during the Falklands War of 1982.[1]
