Lonsdale Ward is one of the wards of Westmorland, forming part of the Barony of Kendal. It is situated in the south-east of the county, bounded to east by Yorkshire; to the south by Lancashire; and to the east by Kendal Ward. There is also a short boundary with the East Ward at the River Lune. Lonsdale Ward is contiguous with Lancashire's Lonsdale Hundred to the south. It is the least populous of the wards, with a population of 6,307 in 2011.
The hundred comprises the ancient parishes of:
- Burton in Kendal (Burton and Holme townships)*
- Kendal (Dillicar township)†
- Kirkby Lonsdale
