Bridge over the River Greta in Burton-in-Lonsdale

The River Greta is a river flowing through the West Riding of Yorkshire and into Lancashire, where it joins the River Lune in Lancashire.

The river is formed by the meeting of the River Twiss and the River Doe at Ingleton. From Ingleton, the Greta travels westwards through Burton-in-Lonsdale, below which it crosses inot Lancashire.

In Lancashire, the Greta flows past Cantsfield and Wrayton, passing Thurland Castle, where the Greta flows into the River Lune.
