Deythur Hundred in Montgomeryshire

Deythur is one of the hundreds of Montgomeryshire, located in the north-east of the county, adjacent to the border with Shropshire. It is bounded to the north and east by Shropshire; to the south-east by Cawrse; and to the south and east by Pool Hundred. It had a population of 3,224 in 2011, rising to 3,871 if detached parts are disregarded.

It comprises the following ancient parishes:

*: Remainder in Cawrse hundred and Shropshire.
: Remainder in Llanfyllin and Pool hundreds.
: That part south of the River Vyrnwy, known as Llansantffraid Deythur. The remainder, known as Llansantffraid Pool is in Pool hundred.

Additionally, Carreghofa forms a detached part of Denbighshire, locally situated in Deythur hundred.
