Sgurr nan Coireachan is a mountain in Inverness-shire, which reaches a height of 3,136 feet at its summit, and so it qualifies as a Munro.
This is most westerly Munro in its group of hills range and it forms part of the Glenfinnan Horseshoe, a circular route taking in two Munros. The walk circles round Coire Thollaidh the source of the River Finnan.
Sgurr nan Coireachan has three distinct ridges running west, south and east. The west ridge winds down to subsidiary peak Meall Garbh. The south ridge is the normal ascent/descent route leading back to Glenfinnan. The east ridge leads to the neighbouring Munro, Sgurr Thuilm, over long a rocky knobbly ridge passing several subsidiary peaks.
