Oldany Island is an uninhabited island of 500 acres in Assynt, in the west of Sutherland. It lies just off the county's west coast, at the mouth of the Minch, and it joined to the mainland at low tide.

The island was formerly named 'Oldney Island'. The name is Old Norse in origin and possibly means 'fruit island'.[1]

The island is owned by the Turner family and has long been used for grazing sheep.
