Monadh Mór is mountain amongst the Cairngorms on the border of Inverness-shire and Aberdeenshire. It rises to 3,652 feet, making it a Munro.

In form, Monadh Mòr is a rounded mountain forming a plateau, itself a part of the plateau from Braeriach to Cairn Toul, with Monadh Mòr at the south-east edge. It has two tops, of which the highest summit is the north top, at 3,652 feet. The south top is but ten feet lower.

On the north a ridge with moderate to gentle slopes leads to the plateau of the Moine Mor, from where tracks leads down to Glen Feshie. The west side falls more gently for a mile to Leth-chreag before the abrupt drop to the River Eidart, which separates Monadh Mór from the Mullach Clach a' Bhlàir plateau to the west.

The most impressive feature of Monadh Mór is the eastern flank over Glen Geusachan which has steep rocky slopes.

Ascent

Mondah Mor is in the heart of the wild country of the Cairngorms and not to be approached individually. A common approach is to climbed it along with Beinn Bhrothain, then across a high col above Coire Cath nam Fionn. The climb may be begun as a long traverse from Glen Feshie or more simply past White Bridge and the Linn of Dee or up Glen Geusachan.

It is not an easy climb and traverse and certainly not to be attempted by those not fit and trained to the hills.
