The Linn of Dee is a waterfall of the River Dee in Aberdeenshire, fomed where the river passes east through a thousand-foot natural rock gorge.
This is a spot which was much favoured by Queen Victoria during her stays at Balmoral. The queen opened the bridge that spans the Dee at this point in 1857. [1]
