Little Reedness is a hamlet in the West Riding of Yorkshire, three and a half miles east of the town of Goole. It stands on the south bank of the lowest, tidal reach of the River Ouse (which river here marks the boundary of the West Riding to the south with East Riding to the north). This hamlet is in the drained marshlands of the Ouse and Humber (into which the Ouse falls just below Little Reedness). Half a mile west of it is Reedness, a hamlet barely larger.
