Liard Island is a mountainous island, 13 nautical miles long and 6 nautical miles wide lying in the north-central portion of Hanusse Bay, off the Loubet Coast, a stretch of coastline on the west side of Graham Land in the British Antarctic Territory. The island is separated from the Arrowsmith Peninsula by the Isacke Passage, and from Adelaide Island by the Buchanan Passage.

It rises to about 3,280 feet above sea level at its summit.

The island was discovered and named by the French Antarctic Expedition of 1908–1910, under Jean-Baptiste Charcot.
