Barbon Beck near its meeting with Aygill

Barbon Beck is a small river in the West Riding of Yorkshire and Westmorland. It is a tributary of the River Lune.

The beck rises at Weather Ling Hill, just across the county border in Yorkshire, where it is known as Barkin Beck. From here the stream passes southwest down Barbondale, entering Westmorland and continuing on an almost arrow-straight course to Fell House, where, joined by Aygill (itself fed by Hazel Sike, which, like Aygill, rises on Barbon High Fell).

Below Fell House the stream is known as Barbon Beck, and takes a westerly course, past Barbon Manor and through the village of Barbon and under the A683 road. At High Beckfoot it passes under a Grade-II-listed packhorse bridge,[1] before meeting the River Lune opposite Mansergh Hall.
