Edernion is one of the hundreds of Merionethshire, forming the distinctive projection into Denbighshire on the east of the county. It is bounded to the north-west, north and east by Denbighshire; to the south by Montgomeryshire; and to the west by Penllyn Hundred. Edernion is the least populous of the hundreds, with a population of 4,173 in 2011.
