Bentfield Bury is a small village in north-western Essex, found along a small lane a mile north-west of Stansted Mountfitchet, and just south-east of Manuden.

Nearby towns include Saffron Walden and Bishop's Stortford. The Hertfordshire border is two miles to the west.

Bentfield Bury is mentioned in the Domesday Book as one of the settlements in Clavering hundred.
