Belby is a hamlet in the East Riding of Yorkshire, sitting about four miles north-east of Goole town centre and a mile and a half north-east of Howden. It stands just to the south of the B1230 road and north of the M62 motorway. The broad, tidal River Ouse snakes through the flat land here just beyond the motorway to the south, dividing the East Riding from the West Riding.
