Reepham is a small village in Lindsey, the northern part of Lincolnshire, sitting five miles north-east of the county town, the City of Lincoln. The village population was recorded as 915 at the 2011 census.

Although the centre of the village contains very old properties there has been expansion in recent years and in-fill with new houses and bungalows.

About the village

Reepham, c.1909

Reepham has two churches; one Church of England (St Peter and St Paul), and one Methodist chapel.

The village pub is The Fox and Hounds Inn.

The village shop acts as a Post Office, general store and newsagents. There is also a primary school. The village shares its village hall with neighbouring Cherry Willingham, and Priory Pembroke Academy serves as the secondary school for the village.

The village once had a wider range of businesses, including a Co-op, police station, a second pub (The Chequers), doctors' surgery and Reepham railway station, but all have closed. The railway still passes through the village on the Lincoln/Market Rasen/Cleethorpes line.

Sport and leisure

  • Reepham Cricket Club, which plays on the cricket pitch in the village.
