The River Lickle

The River Lickle is a small river in the north of Lancashire, in the Lake District. The river rises in the Furness Fells, between White Pike to the east and the Pikes in the west. Frome here it flows in a generally southerly direction to Broughton Mills.

South of Broughton Mills the valley begins to widen, down to Broughton-in-Furness, where it joins the head of the estuary of the River Duddon, at the county's boundary with Cumberland.
