Information |
The Taylorton Bridge is a modern, concrete bridge carrying the A91 road across the River Forth downstream of Stirling, from Stirlingshire on the south bank to Perthshire on the north bank. It is the first bridge on the Forth above the Clackmannanshire Bridge.
The bridge has no official name but has gained the name 'Taylorton Bridge' by repute from its position, by Upper Taylorton Farm, which lies on the Stirlingshire Bank.
The bridge was built in 1985 as part of the new A91 route from Logie to Bannockburn, creating a bypass to take traffic round the eastern side of Stirling.
