Waterend is a hamlet in Oxfordshire, in the Chilterns a mile west of Stokenchurch, into which parish it falls. It is close by the border with Buckinghamshire; the Buckinghamshire hamlet of The City is a few hundred yards to the north.
The main A40 road is a short way to the south, and runs through Beacon's Bottom down the lane from Waterend. Together with the adjacent hamlets of Horsleys Green, Beacon's Bottom and Studley Green, it is in an area known collectively as 'Studley Green'. It is within the Chiltern Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
