Portbury Hundred in Somerset

The Hundred of Portbury is one of the hundreds in Somerset,[1] dating from before the Norman conquest. It was recorded in the Domesday Book as containing 86½ hides. 63 of these paid rent to the King with the rest being held by barons.[2]
