Whatshaw Common is a hill and area of common land in the Shap Fells, which reaches 1,593 feet at the higher of its twin summits, and just three feet less its second, eastern summit. The hill drops down to Crookdale Beck to the south and to the A6 road to the east.

The Wasdale Horseshoe route runs over the summit.
