Rhayader Hundred in Radnorshire

Rhayader Hundred is one of the hundreds of Radnorshire, located in the north-west of the county, adjacent to the borders with Brecknockshire, Cardiganshire and Montgomeryshire. It is bounded to the south by Brecknockshire; to the west by Cardiganshire; to the north by Montgomeryshire; to the north-east by Knighton Hundred; to the east by Cefnllys Hundred; and to the south-east by Colwyn Hundred. It had a population of 4,328 in 2011.

It comprises the following ancient parishes:

• Llanyre
• Nantmel
• Rhayader
