Postern Gap is a mountain pass running north-west to south-east at about 1,640 feet above sea lebvel, to the east of Mount Tholus on Joinville Island, an island off the Trinity Peninsula at Graham Land's north-eastern tip, within the British Antarctic Territory.

The gap was surveyed by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey from Hope Bay in January 1954 and so named as providing the only sledge route through the central ridge to the south coast of the island.
