Mount Tholus is the highest mountain of Joinville Island, which lies to the east of the Trinity Peninsula at the tip of Graham Land in the British Antarctic Territory.
The mountain climbs to 2,707 feet above sea level and forms part of a ridge extending south-west from Postern Gap in the central part of the island.
The mountain was surveyed as part of a survey of Joinville Island by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey from Hope Bay in 1953-54. It was named by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee in 1956. The name is descriptive; a 'tholus' being a circular, domed structure.
