Newcastle Hundred

The Newcastle Hundred is one of the hundreds of Glamorgan, in the south of the county. The hundred is named after the parish of Newcastle, which it contains. It is bounded by the hundred of Neath to the north; by the detached part of the hundred of Ogmore to the north-east; by the hundred of Cowbridge to the east; and by the main body of Ogmore Hundred to the south-east. It ranks fifth out of ten in terms of population amongst Glamorgan's hundreds, with a population of 143,030.
