Miscellany
Murdoch Grant, the victim of an infamous murder, was killed close to Nedd in 1830. The case was a remarkable one as the vital evidence to convict Hugh Macleod of the crime, named the victim's backpack and belongings buried in a cairn near MacLeod's house, was discovered after a local tailor claimed to have seen their location in a dream.
The financier John Stewart was born in Nedd.
