Morland is a large village in the rolling hills above the Eden Valley in Westmorland. The wider parish encompasses the hamlets of Town Head and Morland Moor, and had a recorded population of 380 at the 2011 census.
The village has a pub, the Crown Inn and the Millyard Café. It also has a small Primary School, Morland Area Church of England Primary School with approximately 60-70 pupils.
Parish church
The Church of St Lawrence (otherwise written 'Laurence') is unique in Westmorland as it has an Anglo-Saxon tower.
The ecclesiastical parish includes the villages of King's Meaburn, Newby and Sleagill.
