Medlar is a hamlet on the flat plains of the Fylde in Lancashire strung along the A585 and a dead-end lane spurring off it, uncomfortably just half a mile north of the M55 motorway and its junction 3.
The small, conjoined towns of Wesham and Kirkham lie just south of the M55, and Medlar shares a parish council with the former.
