Llantrithyd is a rural village and ancient parish in Glamorgan[1]. It is situated south of the A48 road, four miles south-east of Cowbridge. The parish church, dedicated to St Illtyd has 12th-century origins. The chancel and nave were rebuilt in the 14th century as was the tower. In the 18th century the tower was restored and a gallery inserted at the west end of the nave accessed from the south face of the tower.[2] The nearby Llantrithyd Place is a derelict 16th-century manor house.[3]
To the north lies Welsh St Donats; to the east, Llanvithyn; to the south, Llancarvan and to the west, St Hilary.
