Hempholme is a hamlet in the East Riding of Yorkshire, on the broad Holderness peninsula. It is about eight miles north-east of Beverley town centre, and a mile east of the Driffield Navigation.
History
In 1823 Hempholme was noted as being in the parish of Leven, and the Wapentake and Liberty of Holderness. The population at the time was 93. Occupations at the time included six farmers, some of whom were yeomen, and a schoolmaster.[1]
