Hague Bar is a hamlet to the west of New Mills in Derbyshire. It stands on the east side of the River Goyt, which marks the county border, and is along the line of the main railway line to Manchster: just up the line across the Goyt are Marple and Stockport in Cheshire.
The Manchester to Sheffield railway passes through the Goyt valley at this point.
The Goyt Way, part of the Midshires Way, passes through the village on its ten mile route from Etherow Country Park to Whaley Bridge.[1]
