Greasbrough is a village in the West Riding of Yorkshire, just to the north of Rotherham, sufficiently separated by fields but otherwise considered a suburb.
Greasbrough has 2,038 inhabitants and 2,270 acres of land belonging to Earl FitzWilliam.[1] It is located two miles north of Rotherham.
The parish church is St Mary's, which was completed in 1828 in the Gothic style. A schoolroom is built into the rear lower part of the building. There are also Wesleyan and Independent chapels, also with attached schools.[1]
