Carntogher is a mountain of 1,522 feet in the Sperrins, in County Londonderry. It is the most easterly of the great hills of the Sperrins apart from the grand outlier Slieve Gallion to the south.
Carntogher rises to the east of the Glenshane Pass which carries the A6 Londonderry to Maghera road through the mountains hereabouts. Several burns rise on its slopes and flow either to the Clady River which flows east and feeds the River Bann or the River Roe which flows west and reaches the sea in Lough Foyle.
