Byron Heights is a mountain rising to 1,630 feet at the north-western extremity of West Falkland, in the Falkland Islands. It is found seven miles south-east of Hope Point, on a narrow peninsula between Byron Sound and King George Bay, along with Storm Mountain - this exposed location gives Storm Mountain its name.
The summit gives fine views over the bays towards West Point, Carcass Island and the Jason Islands.
The mountain's top is occupied by 'RRH Byron Heights' (Remote Radar Head Byron Heights) of the British Forces South Atlantic Islands.[1] The station is part of an early warning and airspace control network including also RRH Mount Alice on West Falkland and RRH Mount Kent on East Falkland.
