Brackenber is a hamlet on Brackenber Moor in Westmorland, at the end of a dead-end lane running up from Hilton.
The hamlet is a mile south of Murton, and two and a half miles east of the county town, Appleby-in-Westmorland, from which it is separated by the moor and the relentless path of the A66 dual carriageway. The broad valley of the River Eden, in which Appleby sits, is below the village, to the west.
