Information |
Beckstones Wath Footbridge is a footbridge 262 feet long which crosses the River Tees, from County Durham on the north bank to the North Riding of Yorkshire on the south.
The bridge was opened in May 2002 after a long campaign: it was reported to be the first entirely new bridge on the upper reaches of the Tees for over 200 years. It links Mickleton, Yorkshire with the Teesdale Way on the Durham bank of the river, and allows for circular walks, linked with the Teesdale Way.
